Built 2 Give Back (B2GB) is our philanthropic operating fund that was founded in 2014 to allocate the giving on charitable funds through the Hamilton Community Foundation. What started as a small board of BILSTEIN team members deciding how to disburse $10,000 to local charities has transformed into a fifteen-member Board awarding nearly $50,000 to various organizations within the past three years.
Once a month, the B2GB Board members meet to review requests from local, non-profit organizations to award grants and determine sponsorships. B2GB giving amounts range from $100 to $5,000 and help provide funds needed to purchase gifts for needy children during the holidays, to food and clothing drives — or the sponsorships of local 5k runs or collegiate scholarships for local students.
In 2022, B2GB was able to donate $31,650 back into the greater Hamilton area.
A sampling of local organizations to whom we have given include: Sojourner Recovery Services, One Way Farm, Big Brothers Big Sisters, YWCA, American Cancer Society, The Salvation Army, Heroes of Character, Best Buddies DD Program, The Caring Closet, Open Door Food Pantry, Paige’s Princess Foundation, Boys and Girls Club, Community Blood Center Blood Drives, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Habitat for Humanity and more.
